Alta-Aware-908: Vulnerability in the Go cmd/go package

Overview

A vulnerability in the go.mod toolchain could allow execution of arbitrary scripts and binaries. This affects the internal build system and could lead to released binaries being affected as well.

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions before 6.1.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.2.1.
• Ava Cameras:
  • All Stable upgrade Channel versions before 6.1.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.2.1.
• Ava Cloud: before 11th of September 2023.

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 6.1.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.2.1.
• Ava Cameras:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 6.1.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.2.1.
• Ava Cloud: from 11th of September 2023.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 6.2.1 and Stable upgrade channel version 6.1.7.

It is crucial that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Ava Cloud on 11th of September 2023. Ava Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.

This issue has been fixed in Ava Camera Beta upgrade channel version 6.2.1 and Stable upgrade channel version 6.1.7.

It is crucial that all Ava Camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface for Ava managed cameras and the Ava Camera User Interface for unmanaged Ava cameras.
