Ava-759 Vulnerabilities in OpenSSL

Overview

Ava Aware and Ava Cloud were affected by a series of vulnerabilities in the OpenSSL library.

Affected Products

  • Ava Aware:
    • All Stable upgrade channel versions before 5.9.7.
    • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.0.2.
  • Ava Cloud: before 11th July 2023.

Unaffected Products

  • Ava Aware:
    • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 5.9.7.
    • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.0.2.
  • Ava Cameras: all versions.
  • Ava Cloud: 11th July 2023.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 6.0.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 5.9.7.

It is strongly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Ava Cloud on 11th July 2023. Ava Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.
