Alta-Aware-829: RSA key pairs were generated with a 1024-bit modulus

Overview

It was discovered that in a few instances the RSA key pairs were generated with a 1024-bit modulus. This modulus length is insecure.

Affected Products

• Ava Aware:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions before 6.3.4.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.3.0.
• Ava Cloud: before 1st September 2023.

Unaffected Products

• Ava Aware:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 6.3.4.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.3.0.
• Ava Cameras: all versions.
• Ava Cloud: from 1st September 2023.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 6.3.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 6.3.4.

It is strongly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Ava Cloud on 1st September 2023. Ava Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.
