The Avigilon Alta Rules tool is a powerful way of defining scenarios where you want to be notified if a specific event occurs. For example, you might have a Fire Exit that should not, in your normal daily routines, be used as an entrance or exit. By defining a rule, your Alta video security systems can notify you when somebody uses the Fire Exit.

The Aware Rules tool

You can define the relative importance for the rule, and depending on the importance you give the rule, different actions are assigned. If you give high importance to the rule, when the rule triggers, any camera rotations that you have will jump to display the view from the camera that is triggering your rule.
