Configuring Alta Aware to use Face search

Face search is configured on a per site basis. This means that cameras must belong to Sites that are physically located within a geographical region where the use of facial recognition technologies is legal.

It is the responsibility of administrators of each Alta Aware deployment to ensure that the use of Face search complies with local, state, or national legislation for the use of facial recognition technologies.

Create or edit your Sites, adding the location information for each site. See How to: Create Sites.
Configure Person appearance attributes for the sites to use Face search. See Task — Configure the use of person attributes per site.
