About: Local Alta Cloud Connector user interface

Last modified: Thursday April 27, 2023.

The Alta Cloud Connector is designed to have almost all of its configuration set from your Alta Aware deployment.

You can view the local user interface for your Cloud Connectors by browsing to each Cloud Connector using its IP address or its hostname.

The local user interface includes pages for displaying settings and, where appropriate, configuring options for:

  • Cloud connector — general information, such as the connector name and group, the current software version and information about the number of devices, interfaces and disks available.
  • Devices — information about the cameras connected to the Cloud Connector.
  • Network — information about, and the options to change the details for the network interfaces for your Cloud Connector.
  • System — information about the software version installed on your Cloud Connector. You can also manually trigger a backup, restore, or Factory reset for your Cloud Connector, as well as rebooting or shutting down the connector.

You should not manually update the software version on an individual Alta Cloud Connector unless requested to do so by Support.

The smooth running of your Avigilon Alta deployment requires that all components are using compatible software versions, and in normal circumstances, these versions are managed from your Alta Aware deployment, not from the individual Cloud Connectors.

  • Contacts & logs — easily locate links to the Avigilon Alta support pages, and download the diagnostic information to assist the support team in responding to your support requests.
