How to: Add access control points to Aware

Once you have added your access control system to Alta Aware, you can scan the access control system for information about the access control points attached to the server.

When Alta Aware has the list of access control points, you can then add these control points to Aware, enabling you to place them in Map view, read status messages from them, and to trigger rules to alert your staff about access control events.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have added your access control system to Aware.

Task — Add access control points to Alta Aware

  1. Choose Tools Open a tool > Devices Devices.
  2. Click Access Control.
  3. Click Add access pointsAdd access points . If no access control systems are available, click Manage access control systems.
  4. Select the Access control devices to be added. You can select and add multiple access control points.
  5. Choose Next.
  6. (Optional) Type a name for the selected access control point.
  7. If required, select a Device group.
  8. If required, select a Label.
  9. Select cameras near your chosen access point from Associated cameras.
  10. Choose Next.
    The selected access control points are added to Alta Aware.
